It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and once went over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a team that has achieved everything.

The fact it required until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the possibility.

In the end, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy being given a platform to produce her newest gem.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She made sure her country would not fail again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Many contend the argument supporting final game tension. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 happened while she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it has been a challenging time because it appeared my form was missing at all," said Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive nature kick in and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off the bowler's initial ball and from that point Healy was on her way.

"An opportunity to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was dismissed Australia needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to do it again but, if we do, we know we can do it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this tournament should hear.

During the last week a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has become more firm - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a significant event.

So great is her will, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she later admitted those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is expected to be her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a world championship as captain.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her final mountain.
